Fleet Management App
The Project
The client was experiencing decline in service levels with their current fleet management company. Their drivers were not receiving the level of customer service and support they required to keep them and their vehicles on the road, ensuring compliance and safety. They approached my team to reimagine the experience for fleet management company.
Fleet Management App is a platform that allows fleet managers to monitor and keep track of fleet drivers, optimize routine tasks and improve drivers safety.
The main objective of the app is to help fleet managers:
Efficiently administer, manage and monitor fleet drivers requirements, work hours, trip status and speed.
Optimize routine management tasks, communication and problem solving.
Legal compliance through monitoring of compliance with driving and rest time regulations.
Cost efficiency through optimized fuel consumption and planning of preventive maintenance schedules, checklists and repairs.
The Team
1 designer, 1 manager, 1 project manager, 1 business analyst, and 2 developers.
My Role
Investigating the problem and identifying requirements through quantitative research method to identify the pain points in fleet management system.
Designed solutions such as intuitive fleet driver on-boarding experience, driver score card displaying vehicle type, speed, fuel usage, work hours and interactive real-time communication.
Conducted usability testing through surveys to ensure design solutions align with project requirements.
Proficient in using tools such as Axure 7.0, Marvel to create design solutions (user personas, affinity mapping, card sorting, sketches, wireframing, prototyping).
The Challenge
Complex and time-consuming fleet driver onboarding process. Manager conduct workshops and still there are lot of mistakes.
Lack of compliance and monitoring of drivers schedules, work hours, weather conditions and fuel usage.
Fleet managers spend 2-3 hours on routine communication and problem solving.
The Solution
Fluent onboarding process of new employees/drivers. It takes just a few minutes to add new drivers and fill in their details.
Efficient tracking of drivers status, speed, work hours with driver score card.
Fleet managers resolve routine communications faster with real-time interaction.
UX Research
The first step was identification of project requirements, stakeholder interviews to understand the expectations, market, vision, target users and strategy.
As the next steps into creating a strategic roadmap, I conducted quantitative and qualitative research to understand users needs, pain points and identify the requirements.

Considering the users, all the business requirements and technology, I created the full clickable product prototype and design that helped the business to improve service levels.
Increased user satisfaction and driver score card by 25%.
Time spent on routine communication decreased by 80% due to sharing of real-time data and communication.
